Sana Hanke and her friends present the project
The idea of Ukrainian wetschornyzi in Ulm was born in 2022 with the beginning of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine, when Ukrainian refugees in need of support and exchange came to Ulm.
The Ukrainian Wetschornyzi project is mainly made up of Ukrainian war refugees. They sing, play musical instruments and dance. They try to heal their emotional wounds through music and want to introduce the richness and diversity of Ukrainian folk songs, pop songs and classical works by Ukrainian composers.
From the children's choir "Mrija" to the adult choir "Stefania", from experienced pianists to virtuoso violinists, from performers of authentic Ukrainian songs to artists of Crimean Tatar origin, everything is on offer.
