1 FESTIVAL

Every two years, the Danube Office Ulm/Neu-Ulm invites visitors to the International Danube Festival. For ten days, there is a lively atmosphere on both sides of the Danube as international artists and guests from all countries along the Danube come together at this festival of encounters.

The international cultural programme offers a sophisticated mix of different artistic genres – whether music, dance, literature or exhibitions, the Danube countries present themselves with their cultural ambassadors.

The 2026 edition has also received the EFFE label.

The centrepiece is the market of the Danube countries. It reflects the basic idea of the International Danube Festival, which is to convey the diversity of cultures, music and dance forms, and lifestyles along the Danube. Here, visitors can experience genuine handicrafts, authentic music – both modern and traditional – and culinary specialities from the various countries and regions. A colourful family programme delights young and old alike.

The International Danube Festival is a showcase for the international Danube partnership and cultural exchange. It focuses on unity in diversity, the idea of cultural cooperation in Europe and strengthening cohesion in the Danube region.
