New governance initiatives : New approaches to urban planning
The second „NEW EUROPEAN BAUHAUS on the DANUBE“ conference will take place as part of the accompanying week-long exhibition „YOUNG POSITIONS from the DANUBE“. Eight young urban makers, artists and activists from the Danube region will be presented in the public space. They are all committed to new approaches to urban planning, civic engagement and direct action. As part of the „NEW EUROPEAN BAUHAUS on the DANUBE“ network, they stand for inspiring, headstrong and courageous co-design of a region.
The „Working Conference“ is embedded as a special event where the „young voices“ of the exhibition meet international experts on new governance models. Informally and in various working formats, questions will be asked about what can be learnt from the often informal, temporary or self-initiated projects and methods in the Danube region. In the evening, a discussion round will summarise the results.
And all of this is open to the public and right on the banks of the Danube.
