Arts and crafts workshop for children's static masters

In this workshop, participants will learn from Ukrainian craftswoman Olga Zavalniuk how to make a „straw spider“, or „pavuk“ in Ukrainian, although this is not a real spider. Rather, this is an amulet woven from rye or wheat straw in the form of geometric structures (pyramids, octahedrons). The amulet is hung from the ceiling, where it spins in the air, symbolising the harmony of the universe, protection from evil and the cleansing of the house from evil forces. In the workshop, the young Participants design their own beautiful amulet to take home and demonstrate their manual dexterity and spatial awareness. 

The number of participants is limited. The children's programme takes place in the presence of accompanying adults. The responsibility for supervision lies with them and is not transferred to the workshop leader.
