A small paradise in a mild climate, inhabited by Turks who cultivated roses and tobacco - that was the island of Ada Kaleh.
It lay in the middle of the Danube between Romania and Serbia, surrounded by the steep banks of the Iron Gate. But then a hydroelectric power station was built and the island sank forever ... We are rediscovering it!
