The topic of prostitution is often sold as wellness for men. However, the reality for most women in prostitution is different: They are commodities, their bodies are sold. It is not a profession like any other. Women in prostitution experience violence, suffering and fear every day. Many countries in Europe are finally taking action to protect women and are deciding in favour of a ban on buying sex. Is this also the solution for Germany? How far away are we from a ban on buying sex?

We welcome MdB and Ulm native to the podium Leni Breymaier, Beate Müller-Gemmeke, MdB and Katrin Albsteiger, Mayor of Neu-Ulm. We also have Marie Merklingeractivist, abolitionist and survivor of prostitution.

The panel will be moderated by journalist Anita Schlesak and Dr Christoph Hantel, Director of vh ulm.
