Giving traditional klezmer a new sound and locating it in today's world in an artistic and captivating way - this is precisely how Die Hawaras see their mission. The four musicians - Nikolaus Zierotin (violin), Richard Seniow (accordion), Marko Ferlan (bass) and Dima Kovalenko (guitar) - take a refreshingly undogmatic approach to klezmer.

They respect the traditions of this musical style, but interpret them with the aim of revitalising them in a contemporary context. Open to influences of all kinds, they interweave klezmer with elements of jazz, folk, the musical language of the Balkans and Eastern Europe. In this way, they elevate their art to a cross-stylistic level that is both deeply moving and captivating.
