Literary nightcap - Ada

09/07, 22:30 - 23:00

Authors from Ulm and the surrounding area read from their own works

To round off the Danube Day, there will once again be the tried-and-tested nightcap readings in cooperation with the Künstlerhaus Ulm. Authors from Ulm and the surrounding area will read from their own works for half an hour on five evenings. The theme will be escape from time, escape to the future and, of course, the Danube and its waters. After the readings, the evenings will end with a cosy nightcap atmosphere.

Fairy Katrin Kanzler reads the story "Ada" from her book "Ameisenschnee", which will be published in 2025.
Ada, the disillusioned, bald protagonist of the text, sees herself as having a strange superpower: "The energy that other bodies put into hair production, metabolism and mental balance flows elsewhere in her case. Sometimes she thinks she can hear the metaphysical rumble of thunder when she has struck again." However, Ada has to grudgingly find out whether her extraordinary ability is good for saving the world or has the exact opposite effect.

Fairy Katrin Kanzler
