Children's arts and crafts workshop

Under the expert guidance of Hungarian craftswoman Boglárka Tóth, participants will first be given a brief introduction to the art of lino printing and can then get creative themselves on the textiles they bring with them. In this way, textiles are turned into unique, artistic pieces. Participants can choose a wide variety of motifs from numerous different plates. Everyone is sure to find a favourite motif. Some fine motor skills are required for the knotting workshop led by Hungarian craftswoman Emese Bugya. Using the art of macramé knotting, the workshop involves skilfully tying threads with your hands to create cheerful bunnies or lambs. These can be worn as pendants on a bunch of keys, for example. Under the expert guidance of Hungarian craftswoman Nikolett Judit Antal, the participants make figures that are filled with lavender and polyester fibres. The children can glue eyes, noses and mouths onto the pre-sewn figures and then draw lavender patterns on them with a textile pen. In addition, the participants can stamp their name or any text they like on them. The figures are then filled with lavender and the base sewn up by hand, with the help of the craftswoman if required.
