„Musically, Sketches On Duality have made themselves at home between hip hop and jazz. At first glance, this may not seem like such a rare combination, but in the case of this Viennese band, founded in 2015, it takes on a slightly different direction than you might initially expect. This is mainly due to the fact that Jahson The Scientist (vocals), Heli Mühlbacher (guitar), Felipe Scolfaro Crema (keys), David Dolliner (bass) and Michael Prowaznik (drums) - the five brains behind the band project - approach the whole thing in a rather unconventional way. They interweave the two styles in a way that develops its very own life. Mixed with a pinch of funk, a little fusion and a lot of soul, Sketches On Duality create a sound that is far removed from tradition and not really at home in any of the usual categories. And it is precisely in this indefinability that the special appeal of this band's music lies."
