Board game Danube Delta Journey. We travel together from Ulm to the Black Sea.

The student company from the Gustav-Schönleber-Schule in Bietigheim-Bissingen (SBBZ Lernen) has developed and realised its own board game about the Danube. The group won the Europe Prize at the Würth Education Prize (school competition) with their game and it is now even on sale in the museum shop of the Danube Swabian Central Museum in Ulm. The young people were supported by a graphic designer (graphic realisation of the pupils' ideas) and a member of the Ulmer Schachtel Elchingen (as the original Swabian voice in the game). The topics of rivers and Europe are part of the education plan and the children wanted to find a way to package the relevant knowledge in a simple, varied and exciting way and appeal to both "grandchildren and grandparents" as a target group.

In this game, two Ulm box ships compete against each other and have to collect a typical local dish in each country (on each field) on their journey. But be careful: depending on how the game wheel turns, things can get pretty rough on the Danube and there are always obstacles and locks to overcome.

We were able to establish contact with schools and partners from all 10 Danube countries for the content of the action and question cards. The question cards and food (game chips) are therefore authentic and varied.
