donau.pop.camp

03/07 - 12/07

From 3 to 10 July 2026, Ulm will once again become a creative hotspot for up-and-coming musicians from the Danube region: The donau.pop.camp, embedded in the International Danube Festival, will bring together six exciting acts from all over Europe for an intensive week full of exchange, coaching and new musical impulses.

The Donau.pop.camp is organised and curated by the popbastion.ulm - a central player in regional pop promotion and part of the Stadtjugendring Ulm e.V. With its work, popbastion.ulm creates sustainable structures for young musicians, promotes networking and accompanies artistic development far beyond individual projects.

The Romanian artist „ROSE MAY“, who impresses with a mixture of hip-hop, rap and R'n'B. Her songs are personal, international in character and show a young artist who has long been thinking and working beyond national borders.

From Austria comes „Kiiwi“, whose German-language electro-pop is characterised by honest, autobiographical lyrics. Between vulnerability and strength, she addresses mental health and self-empowerment - striking a chord with a young generation.

The local perspective brings „BedBoiPaul“ from Ulm. His sound moves between alternative rap, indie pop and experimental soundscapes. In his current project „Vagabundo“, he deals with personal crises and creates music that is both raw and unifying.

With „Night children“ from Nuremberg, things get atmospheric: four musicians create a „darkly colourful“ world of sound that hovers between melancholy and intensity and casts a spell over the audience.

„Nice Inc.“ from Munich break genre boundaries and deliver an energetic mix of punk, grunge, funk and metal. Their uncompromising „math punk“ sound unfolds a rousing force between precision and ecstasy, especially live.

The line-up is completed by „yanichka Nushi“ from Bulgaria. The young singer combines melancholic indie rock with powerful arrangements and a haunting voice - and sings in her native language.

In addition to the concerts, the donau.pop.camp focuses above all on dialogue: in workshops and coaching sessions, participants work with experienced coaches on topics such as songwriting, performance, producing, stage and lighting design as well as photography and videography. The programme is complemented by inputs on sustainability, awareness and mental health.

The results of the camp week will be presented at two concerts on the stages of the Donaufest on Monday, 6 July, and Thursday, 9 July 2026.
