Donaufest Factory Henning Dampel Trio vs. Maulhelden

It is the idea of overcoming boundaries and discovering new horizons that lies behind the IDF Factory encounter project. In 2026, we will be presenting concert evenings of a special kind for the fifth time. These special concerts are indexed and realised premieres of the Donaufest and promise unforgettable live moments. On two evenings, the four formations will present their own repertoire as well as the results of rehearsals in Novi Sad, Vienna and Ulm. The aim of their time together was to develop pieces in which the souls of both bands intertwine and the musicians become a „new band“.

Henning Dampel Trio vs. Maulhelden (Ulm/Neu-Ulm)

Jazz, Acappella Swing

Right at the opening of the Donaufest, two Ulm/Neu-Ulm formations will be performing together on stage. While the „Henning Dampel Trio“ usually manages without vocals, the gentlemen of the accapella group „Maulhelden“ do without any instruments at all during their concerts. For Donaufest 26, we were able to inspire them to break new ground and engage with each other's musical world. While the Hennig Dampel Trio moves skilfully in the sound universe of modern jazz, the Maulhelden interweave accapella from the 1920s with contemporary trends and a pinch of German songs with a twinkle in their eyes. We can look forward to the new facets with which the combination of band and vocalists will surprise the audience at the Donaufest.
