We are proud to present one of the most promising duos of the current European scene at the Donaufest: freekind. - a Croatian-Slovenian music duo consisting of Sara Ester Gredelj (vocals, piano) and Nina Korošak-Serčič (drums). In their soulful, groovy sound, freekind. combine influences from (neo-)soul, jazz, pop and hip-hop. Sara Ester Gredelj sings and raps introspective lyrics about love, self-doubt and searching for and finding beauty and hope in dark hours. Their sound does not sound minimalist at all. Although there are only two of them, freekind. leave the feeling at their shows that there is more to them than meets the eye! Drummer Nina Korošak-Serčič, who originally set her sights on a career as a professional karate athlete, drives the tracks forward with her beats - from casually groovy to precise and jazzy. Sara Ester Gredelj is responsible for the piano and synthesiser sounds, raps and sings.
