Lemony Rug is the solo project of Léon Rudolf, the singer of the indie band BILBAO. His songs are aimed at all those who stumble unswervingly through life, get up and carry on. Between playful textures and raw emotionality, his sound moves confidently between dreamy indie pop, honest indie rock and folky elements. In his songs, the Hamburg-based musician with roots in Ulm tells of inner turmoil, self-doubt and small triumphs - always carried by vivid language, organic sounds and an unmistakably international flavour.
