Music competition of the Danube Festival 2024: Oboe

08/07 - 10/07

In co-operation with the Ulm Music School

Background
The Danube region symbolises the goal of a successful reunification of Europe after the fall of the Iron Curtain and embodies the potential and richness of peaceful unity in diversity like no other European region. Even the extreme political challenges that the continent is currently facing as a result of Russia's war of aggression against a state in this region do not lead us to lose sight of this goal.

The instrumental competition, which was first held in summer 2012, has developed into a successful and central player in the young academic music scene in the Danube countries and an important part of the Danube Festival in recent years.

Students can only be nominated and registered by their universities or colleges. Individual applications to the organiser will not be accepted. Registered participants should not be older than 30 at the time of the competition and must be enrolled as students. In order to ensure equal competition conditions, piano accompaniment will be provided by the organiser without exception.
